This Privacy Policy describes how edje ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit edje.io and join our waitlist. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Waitlist information: Your name and email address when you join our waitlist.
• Analytics data: Pages visited, time on site, traffic source, and general device/browser information collected through Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent).
• Ad campaign data: Whether you arrived via a Facebook or LinkedIn ad, collected through Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag (only with your consent).
• Cookies: A cookie_consent cookie to remember your tracking preferences. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you click "Accept."

3. How We Use Your Information

• Waitlist: To send you a confirmation email and notify you when edje launches.
• Analytics: To understand how visitors use the site and improve the product.
• Ad measurement: To evaluate the performance of advertising campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for automated decision-making.

4. Cookies and Consent

On your first visit, we show a cookie consent banner. If you click Accept, we load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and LinkedIn Insight Tag. If you click Decline, no tracking scripts are loaded — no data is sent to third-party analytics or advertising platforms.

Your choice is stored in a cookie_consent cookie for one year. You can change your preference at any time by clicking Cookie Preferences in the site footer.

5. Third-Party Services

When you accept cookies, we use the following third-party services:

6. Data Retention

• Waitlist data (name + email): Retained until your account is created or you request deletion by emailing privacy@edje.io.
• Analytics data: Retained per Google's default retention settings (up to 14 months in GA4).
• Ad platform data: Retained per Meta's and LinkedIn's default retention policies.

8. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

• Connecticut (CTDPA): Right to access, correct, delete, opt out, and data portability.
• Texas (TDPSA): Right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of the sale or targeted advertising use of personal data.
